Therapy Dog Class in Leesburg, VA

Therapy Class offers training to clients that want to take the Therapy Dog International test. Clients would then provide comfort and companionship of their therapy trained dog with patients in hospitals, nursing homes, day centers and other institutions and where a therapy dog is needed. We recommend having completed the CGC test prior to therapy class. Dogs should be calm, not spooked easily, good natured, and enjoy attention and petting from strangers.

Upon completion of our therapy dog course, your pet should be ready to take the Therapy Dog International Test. To be eligible for this course of training, your dog should be friendly, well-behaved, and love people. He or she must have successfully passed our AKC Canine Good Citizen course or have a solid foundation in basic and advanced obedience skills, as well as trainer approval.
